We dream of a day when all individuals, with their unique abilities and talents, can enjoy lives of interdependence, empowerment, and purpose in the community of their choice.

What is SAIL?

SAIL was established in the Summer of 2019 by a group of parents committed to finding housing solutions for adults with developmental disabilities.  SAIL encourages each family to be the architects of their loved ones’ housing solution – allowing them to live safely and independently.  SAIL members are committed to supporting one another to create unique housing solutions for an individual. Sail provides mentorship, education, and an opportunity to connect with others thru SAIL’s Friendship Connect and SAILing Lessons.

SAILing Lessons

SAIL believes in connecting people to resources which is why we created SAILIng Lessons. These in-person informational sessions focus on a particular area of interest or challenge related to developing a housing solution for their loved one.

Friendship Connect

SAIL strives to connect people to people which is why Friendship Connect was created. Friendship Connect’s online portal and live events provides a forum for friendships to develop, roommates to emerge and shared housing solutions to evolve.

Housing Guide

SAIL developed a Housing Guide with supporting resources. The step-by step-guide and resources outlines the process one might follow when creating a housing solution.
